How to Make Starbucks Peppermint Mocha

Step 1 – Place the espresso, peppermint extract and chocolate syrup in a cup of your choice. Stir to combine these ingredients.

Step 2 – Steam and froth the whole milk. Add the milk to the cup.

  • Step 5 – Top with the whipped cream and the shaved dark chocolate.

How to Steam Milk at Home

You can steam milk in your microwave or on your stove top.

To steam milk in the microwave, pour the milk in a microwave safe mug and heat for about 20 seconds. Pour your coffee or espresso in the mug and enjoy.

To steam milk on the stovetop, pour milk in a saucepan and heat. Once heated, pour into a coffee mug with your coffee or espresso and enjoy.

To get a precise temperature, you may need to use a thermometer.

  • Espresso – If you do not have a espresso machine, use strong coffee.
  • Froth Milk – Froth the milk by either using an electric brother, use a steam wand from an espresso machine, or simmer the milk on the stove top.
