Why Make This Recipe
As a mom of 8 kids the holidays is my favorite time of the year. We enjoy making holiday desserts for friends, family and just to enjoy ourselves.
These Reindeer brownies is one of our favorites because it starts with a box brownie mix and simple decorations. I can easily make the brownies ahead of time and decorate them the next day.
These Rudolph brownies would even be great to set out for Christmas Eve.

Variations Ideas
- Brownie Mix – There are many brownie box mix to choose. Feel free to use what you prefer.
- Decorations – Feel free to decorate these Christmas Reindeer Brownies how you please. You can even add a layer of chocolate frosting to the top of the brownies. Top with any red candy for the nose.
- Add-ins – You can easily add in chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the brownie mix for a delicious holiday treats.
Step by Step Instructions
- Step 1 – Line a 9X13 baking pan with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Step 2 – Prepare the brownie mix in a medium bowl. Based on the package instructions in the prepared pan.
- Step 3 – Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
Step 4 – Carefully remove the brownies from the pan to a large cutting board. Use the heart cookie cutter to cut out 16 heart shaped brownies from the sheet of prepared brownies.
Step 5 – Use a toothpick to apply the melted chocolate to the back of the pretzels, candy eyes and M&M. Then carefully place them on each of the brownies to make the antlers and face of each of the reindeers on each of the brownies.
Recipe Tips
- Melted Chocolate – We use melted chocolate to apply the decorations. Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and be careful not to burn.
- Cookie Cutter – We used a heart shaped cookie cutter to make these Christmas brownies. But you can also use a knife to cut the brownies.
Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend cutting the brownies with the cookie cutter when they cooled to slightly warm. This allows for a clean cut.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4-5 days.

Ingredients
For the Brownies
- 1 box Fudge Brownie Mix to be made in a 9X13 pan
- Ingredients to prepare the Brownie Mix based on the instructions.
For the Decorations:
- 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
- 32 Pretzel Twists
- 32 Candy Eyes
- 16 Red M&Ms
Supplies Needed:

Instructions
For the Brownies
- Line a 9X13 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the brownie mix based on the package instructions in the prepared 9X13 baking pan.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- Carefully remove the brownies from the pan to a large cutting board.
- Use the heart cookie cutter to cut out 16 heart shaped brownies from the sheet of prepared brownies.
To Decorate:
- Place the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until fully melted.
- Use a toothpick to apply the melted chocolate to the back of the pretzels, candy eyes and M&M and then carefully place them on each of the brownies to make the antlers and face of each of the reindeers on each of the brownies.
- Then the brownies are ready to serve and enjoy!
