Step 7 – Bake Cookies – Bake for 12-13 minutes until the edges of the cookies are slightly brown. Let cookies cool and then they are ready to serve.

  • Mixing Ingredients – We recommend mixing ingredients until combine. Mix the ingredients by hand or use a stand mixer with paddle attachment for best results. You can also mix with hand mixer. Make sure to scrape sides of the bowl with a spatula to get all ingredients.
  • Measuring Ingredients – Add ingredients exactly as the recipe card indicates. These measurements helps to create a soft and chewy cookie. If adding to much flour it could result in a dry cookie.
  • Softened Cream Cheese and Butter – Allowing the butter and cream cheese to softened at room temperature allows for a smooth and creamy texture.
  • Chilling Dough – When we prepared the cookie dough, we did not chill the dough before rolling it and placing on the baking sheet. But if you make ahead of time, place the cookie dough mixture in the refrigerator.
  • Prepared Baking Sheet – For an easy cleanup and to easily remove cookie from the baking sheet, line with sheets of parchment paper.
  • Cooling Cookies – Once the cookies have baked, allow them to cool on the baking sheet. They will actually finish cooking for a few minutes. Then move them to a cooling rack.
  • Cookie Scoop – A cookie scoop will help to ensure each cookie is the same size. This will also help the cookies to bake evenly. It also makes it fast and easy to scoop the cookies. We used a medium size cookie scoop.
  • Baking Cookies – When we bake cookies, we recommend putting one cookie sheet in the oven at a time. This allows for the cookies to bake evenly.
  • Chop the cookies – The cookies turn out prettier if you chop the cookies instead of crushing them. Chopping them helps to keep the cream inside the cookies.

How to get Perfectly Round Cookies

To get a perfectly round cookies, you can either use a round shape cookie cutter or the bottom of a glass.

  • Place the cookie cutter over the cookie. It should be bigger than the cookie.
  • Then use the cookie cutter to mold the edges so that it smooths in a round cookie. You will twist the cookie cutter in a swirling motion.
