Expert Tips

  • Icing and Sprinkles – Feel free to add more sprinkles and icing to the batter. You can also change the colors and sprinkles to what you prefer.
  • Prepare in advance – We love to prepare holiday treats ahead of time to save time when last minute gatherings arise. This is the perfect treat to make ahead of time. It is fun and festive and will last about 2 months in the freezer.
  • Chill the bowl and beaters – Place the mixing bowl and beaters of the hand mixer in the fridge or freezer to chill before using. The ice cream mixture will freeze faster.
  • Allow to Freeze – It is recommend to allow the ice cream to freeze for at least 5 hours before serving. I like to make it the night before so it can freeze overnight.
  • Mixing Ingredients – Mix ingredients carefully so that you still get the perfect texture of the ice cream.
  • Add-Ins – We love the cake flavor that is added to the ice cream, but feel free to add in other options. You can add in chocolate chips, nuts, or crushed candy bars.
  • Serving – Serve the ice cream in a fun holiday bowl to add to the holiday theme. Add extra red icing and green sprinkles.
