Easy Snowman Pancakes Recipe:

Surprise the kids this holiday season with these delicious and easy to make Snowman Pancakes. These pancakes are made from scratch and then turned into a snowman body.

If you are in a Winter wonderland, than these pancakes are the perfect breakfast to make. I love making a fun breakfast for Christmas morning and they are at the top of the list.

These snowman pancakes can be decorated in many different ways. Let the kids decorate their own with so many options. Add your favorite breakfast sides for a complete meal idea.

Ingredients needed for snowman pancake

Ingredients: 

For the Pancakes: 

  • All Purpose Flour
  • Brown Sugar
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Large Eggs
  • Whole Milk
  • Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Melted Butter

To Make Snowmen: 

  • Bacon 
  • Orange M&Ms 
  • Chocolate Chips 
  • Powdered Sugar 

How to Make Snowman Pancakes: 

For the Pancakes: 

  • Step 1 – Combine Dry Ingredients – Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 2 – Combine Wet Ingredients – In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and vanilla. 
  • Step 3 – Combine wet and dry ingredients – Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Then stir in the melted unsalted butter.
  • Step 4 – Heat Skillet – Heat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat on the stove.
  • Step 5 – Pour Batter – Pour the pancake batter onto the griddle. This recipe can make approximately 18 small circle pancakes.  Continue cooking remaining batter.
  • Step 6 – Cook Pancakes – Cook until bubbles form in the middle, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Remove from the griddle.

How to Serve Snowman Pancakes: 

  • Step 1 – Line Plate – Line a plate with a paper towel.  Place the bacon on top. 
  • Step 2 – Cook Bacon – Microwave for 6-8 minutes flipping halfway through the cook time. Cook until the bacon is cooked through and crisp. 
  • Step 3 – Place pancakes on plate – Place 3 pancakes on each serving plate in the shape of a snowman.  Place 2 pieces of bacon on the pancakes to look like a scarf on the snowmen.
  • Step 4 – Sprinkle Powdered Sugar – Carefully dust the pancakes with the powdered sugar.  
  • Step 5 – Make Snowman Face – Make the faces and the buttons on the snowmen with the chocolate chips and M&Ms. 
  • Step 6 – Serve and Enjoy – Then the pancakes are ready to serve and enjoy with warm maple syrup.

Snowman Pancakes Recipe Tips:

  • Pancake Sizes – We made this pancakes all one sizes. But you can make them in different sizes.
  • Combine Ingredients – Combine the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix ingredients until combine but do not overmix. This is the perfect pancake mix to make for the holiday season and ahead of time.
  • Prepare Pan – Make sure to preheat skillet or griddle and melt butter on the skillet before adding pancake batter.
  • Hot Skillet – Prior to adding the batter on the skillet, make sure it is hot. We like to wait until the butter is sizzling.
  • Flip Pancakes – Once the pancakes have cooked and started bubbling, it is ready to flip to the second side.

Variation Ideas:

  • Bacon – We microwaved the bacon but you can also prepare in a skillet. Feel free to use any type of bacon that your family prefers.
  • Cookie Cutters – If you want the perfect round shape pancakes, use a cookie cutters.
  • Toppings – You can use different toppings to make the snowman face. Feel free to substitute with strawberry and blueberries.
  • Pancake Mix – We made these pancakes from scratch but you can use a pancake mix

What to Serve with Snowman Pancakes:

These snowman pancakes are complete meal. But feel free to add one of these easy side dishes.

How to Store Leftovers:

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5-7 days.  Make sure the pancakes are at room temperature before storing. The kids will love these leftover.

  • 12 slices Bacon
  • 6 Orange M&Ms
  • ½ cup Chocolate Chips
  • Powdered Sugar

Instructions
