Instructions

For the Pancakes:

  • Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and vanilla.
  • Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, then stir in the melted butter.
  • Heat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  • Pour 1/3 cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake to make the faces of the Elves.
  • Cook until bubbles form in the middle, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Remove from the griddle.
  • Continue this process to make approximately 6 large pancakes.
  • Then make approximately 12 small oval pancakes as well for the ears of the elves.

To Serve:

  • Place a pancake on each serving plate.  Place 2 small oval pancakes on each side of the large pancakes to make the elf ears.
  • Use the raspberries to make the design of the hats on the elves and to use for the rosie cheeks on the elves.
  • Make the faces with the chocolate chips and whipped cream.  Then use the whipped cream to decorate the elves' hats.
  • Place the nutella in a ziplock bag.  Cut off a corner of the bag and use the nutella to make the mouths and hair around the edge of the hats on the elves.
  • Then the pancakes are ready to serve and enjoy with syrup!
